![]() Ellen Kaye’s “The Quest for the Silver Lining” Ellen Kaye sings songs for the silver lining that we are all looking for in these stormy times. Ellen Kaye & Tony Romano have been playing together for five years. From Pegasus to Iridium to The Metropolitan Room they have indulged their Tom Waits addiction, reveled in some Rufus Wainwright, luxuriated in those Annie Lennox tunes, commiserated with Randy Newman's world view, and gotten lost in the Blues. On My 26th they are slipping into the tunes and finding the silver lining...
Quotes: “Enhancing the erotically charged atmosphere, she used only guitarist Tony Romano for accompaniment, and who needs to be told that voice and guitar make a particularly potent let's-get-it-on combo?”
“The overall effect is infectious fun …” --David Finkle, “Backstage” February 10, 2009 @ The Metropolitan Room “Ellen IS good.” -- Liz Smith "...she works the room as if it were a private party..." NY Daily News Bio :
