Singer Christine Reisner will appear at New York City's Metropolitan Room to premiere a retrospective of songs by her late uncle, TONY-Award winning composer Albert Hague. Directed by Eric Michael Gillett and featuring pianist Tex Arnold and Jon Burr on bass, the evening celebrates the oeuvre of one of America's national treasures. Interpreted with insightful warmth and wit by Christine Reisner, the musical world of Albert Hague comes alive in this winning one-hour show.

Riding high on the success of her recent CD release "Beginner's Luck," currently receiving airplay around the country and by Jonathan Schwartz on WNYC, Christine Reisner pays tribute to the magic of her uncle's life and work. From the tender age of seven she immersed herself in his music. Her anecdotes are much more than just oral history, but rather a heartfelt, sometimes comedic journey that completes her unique presentation of the songs by her revered Uncle Albert.


Christine made a name for herself as a cabaret star in France and as a dancer in the company of the famous Alwin Nikolais. Her guest appearances with other choreographers (including Beverly Blossom and Henning Rübsam)
garnered her praise by such critics as Jennifer Dunning, who commented in The New York Times on Christine's work with Rübsam: "... his gift for celebrating a dancer's individual qualities comes to the fore. The solo
makes the most of the charming Christine Reisner and her skill at quicksilver physical and emotional shifts."
