STEVEN CHERA  ~ My Favorite Love Songs - A half century of classic love songs

Steven Chera will be hosting the evening singing classic love songs from the 20's to the 70's and take you on a journey through a half a century of love and kindness. He will be joined by The Bob Kaye Trio as well as Life Vest Inside who's joint mission is to EMPOWER and UNITE The World with KINDNESS.
Brooklyn-born Chera is a singer and performer who revels in the music of the Great American Songbook to early rock ‘n roll. A mellow-toned tenor with a supple delivery that can gently pull a familiar melody to unfamiliar places, Chera is a modern-day crooner with a vintage style all his own.
Steven has been capturing the attention of critics and taste-makers in New York, as well as crafting a unique cross-generational audience.  He’s performed recently at the Duplex NYC, The 5 star Aqualina Hotel in Miami, The Metropolitan Room, Don’t Tell Mama, Swing 46, the Refinery Hotel in New York City, Spago in Las Vegas, Hyatt Hotels, and many other venues throughout the country.
Following his last releases “In The Key of Jazz: A Tribute to The Beatles,” (July 2013) and “Smile” (October 2013), Steven has released his fourth studio album: “My Tribute to The King,” comprised entirely of his take on Elvis classics. The self-taught singer has been refining his Elvis homage from an early age, reaching daring peaks of vocal mastery, while growing to infuse his own brand of charisma into his heartfelt tribute to the King.
Steven’s new arrangements of mostly early Beatle hits add a jazzy tone and somewhat different sound to songs that are known by all. From his opening number I Saw Her Standing There to his very moving closing number Imagine, Chera’s very pleasant baritone provides a somewhat different sound to these classic songs. His up-tempo swinging version of Something and his performances of Yesterday and In My Life were among the evening’s highlights. A swinging trio, led by pianist and musical director Bob Kaye, backed Mr.Chera for the evening of Beatlemania.
