Everything Old is New Again: Encore Performance!

With Bill Zeffiro

After receiving rave reviews for her April engagement of Everything Old is New Again, Lianne has been asked to give her reminiscent  show another whirl!

Lianne is a young sassy brunette with a vintage soul, and gives her own nuanced interpretations of [almost] forgotten standards by Kern, Mercer, Loesser, Lerner & Lane and many more.
As Rob Lester of Nite Life Exchange wrote: "Lianne takes old songs and sings them with such affection and exuberance that they seem ... well, if not new, then gently used."

In her show, she highlights how prevalent these "old" sentiments are today and her enthusiasm for these "timeless" tunes in contagious.

Multiple MAC Award winner Bill Zeffiro joins her at the piano and in song,  and  MAC/Bistro Award winner James Beaman directs.

Lianne most recently performed a leading role in the Off-Broadway concert of the new musical Nightmare Alley  by Jonathan Brielle and was lead singer with a swing band in a "re-creation" of a 1940s USO show on the deck of the historic Battleship Wisconsin in Norfolk, Virginia. Originally from San Francisco, she sang duets by the Gershwins opposite Jason Danieley with the San Francisco Symphony, soloed with the Kronos Quartet alongside Tony Award Winner Anika Noni Rose, and performed a half-dozen "lost musicals" in concert with 42nd Street Moon.  Since moving to NYC, she has performed leading roles in musical theatre classics Off-Broadway, in National Tours, and in Cincinnati, St. Louis, Boston and Detroit.  Lianne has begun recording her first album of standards, and will be releasing songs in time for her cabaret on the 28th.
Audience members at the Metropolitan Room will receive complimentary tracks of selected tunes before the entire album is released in September.

Her passion is almost palpable; it makes the room crackle with energy. She projects a sweepingly positive, optimistic sense of life, so that energy boosts us.  - Roy Sander, Bistro Awards

This is a singer who's shining her rising star. And away she glows. Wise is the cabaret lover who goes to her shows. - Rob Lester, Nite Life Exchange

Dobbs' affinity for the classics is sincere, right down to her retro glamorous look that conjured the screen sirens of the 1930s and 40s.  - Stephen Hanks, BroadwayWorld

These nostalgic songs are an ideal fit for her voice and musical sensibility. - Stephen Hanks,BroadwayWorld
