- Theatre Reviews Limited

The MetroStar's 1st Runner Up returns to the Metropolitan Room with encore performances of his acclaimed new show.  MUSICALLY YOGIC... plays simply as a Yoga class through score, dialoguing the parallels of music and movement, beat and breath, as profound energies for protection and transformation. Armed with his signature humour, soaring silky voice, and darkly-textured musical gems, he continues to delight audiences each and every time.  If you haven't already, be prepared to fall in love with him.

Direction: Julie Reyburn (4-Time MAC, 2-Time Bistro, Julie Wilson Award Winner)
Musical Direction: Tracy Stark (6-Time MAC, Bistro, Nightlife Award Winner)
Featured Vocalist: Tanya L Holt (Bistro Award)

JASON...

"compelling and sincere." - Carolyn Montgomery-Forant
"endlessly interesting." - Roy Sander

Born to a classical pianist mum, music was in his blood from the start.  Now a NY-Based Performer-Producer, Jason continues to delight audiences on- and off-stage.

His stunning competitive run in the 2013 MetroStar garnered him 1st Runner-Up to Lauren Stanford's win.  And Jason continues now as a resident artist at the Metropolitan Room with solo concerts, joint shows, and guest appearances throughout the year.  Furthering Jason's involvement with the Metropolitan Room, Joseph Macchia just brought him on as one of the panel personalities and co-producers for the new late-night cabaret talk-show The Q.

He has provided voice-over Off-Broadway; he has starred in, assistant directed, or co-produced various workshops at the acclaimed Actors Studio; and as creator and co-producer of the Musical Momentum Concert Series (which continues to raise money for teen suicide, sexual violence, and breast cancer) he continues to prove that music has not only the power to move us to feel, but more importantly, the power that propels us to act and heal.

Outside of the performance world, Jason (a former ballet dancer) is also an internationally credited Senior Yoga Teacher Trainer who works enthusiastically with dancers/performers to keep them in optimum condition and recovery for performance and career.
