Description:
Golden Globe winner, Grammy nominee, ShowWest winner, accomplished singer, film and Broadway star all describe Pia Zadora. Performing since the age of six, for those who have seen her in concert, what comes to mind first, and describes this multi-talented performer is simply this: Pia Zadora is the complete entertainer.

Pia’s career began on Broadway with Tallulah Bankhead after she was discovered while studying acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Art. This success led to a number of Broadway shows including a two-year stint as Tevye’s youngest daughter in Fiddler On The Roof with Zero Mostel; the Broadway stage version of The World of Henry Orient; and featured roles in Applause, Promises Promises, The Sound Of Music, Little Mary Sunshine, Funny Girl, Damn Yankees, Crazy for You and Dames At Sea. Pia also appeared on television in The Nurses, The Defenders, Ed Sullivan, and The Perry Como Show. Later she appeared in the feature films with Orson Welles in The Lonely Lady, with Stacy Keach in Butterfly, Hairspray and Naked Gun 33 1/3rd: The Final Insult.

With her many and varied talents, Pia’s true love has always been singing, and in 1985, she launched a successful music career with her first standards album, “Pia & Phil”, recorded with the London Philharmonic. Pia then embarked on a worldwide tour performing at Carnegie Hall, The Philadelphia Academy of Music, The Kennedy Center, Radio City Music Hall and The London Palladium, as well as with symphonies throughout the United States and Canada. She also maintained a successful career as a pop artist in Europe, earning several Gold and Platinum records – and won the “International Duo of the Year” Award for “When The Rain Begins To Fall” for her duet with Jermaine Jackson.

This 5’2 dynamo regarded as “the little woman with the big voice” honed her craft while working with the master, Frank Sinatra; opening for Sinatra in Las Vegas, and appearing with such legendary performers as Tony Bennett, Bob Hope, Don Rickles, Bobby Vinton, Milton Berle, George Burns and Neil Sedaka.

In 2012, Pia hits the stage again, continuing her musical legacy as a show-business bridge and connection to those glory days of saloon singers, classic songs and great nightclub performers. Pia returns to the stage with a 75-minute show titled PIA ZADORA: BACK AGAIN AND STANDING TALL.

The show was created by three-time Emmy winning director and choreographer Walter Painter, Emmy-nominated Academy Award writer Jon Macks, and six-time Emmy Award and Peabody winning composer Larry Grossman. Pia’s new show features the greatest songs ever performed, laughs and pure non-stop entertainment. Accompanied by legendary Sinatra pianist and musical conductor Vinnie Falcone and his orchestra, Pia performs classics such as “The Lady Is a Tramp”, “Come Rain or Shine”, “All of Me”, “Young at Heart” and “The Man That Got Away”.

An evening with Pia equals great entertainment with a great start and a memorable and amazing finish. The woman who has been entertaining us since she was a young girl, is back doing what she loves best—singing and entertaining in front of a live audience.
