Joseph Macchia brings you the next installment of Gone Too Soon, Now and Forever an evening of Madeline Kahn.

Madison, author of Madeline Kahn: Being the Music, A Life (University Press of Mississippi, 2015), will host a musical tribute to the late singing actress as part of the Metropolitan Room’s “Gone Too Soon” series, produced by Joseph Macchia. Following the performance on Saturday, September 12, at 4:00 pm, Madison will sign copies of his book, which has been called “illuminating” (Huffington Post), “well-researched and thoughtful” (Associated Press), “wonderful” (Michael Musto, Outmagazine), and “necessary” (The Movie Addict Headquarters). Directed by Peter Napolitano, “The Music of Madeline Kahn” will feature several friends and colleagues of the comic legend, including her co-stars from Richard Rodgers’Two by Two, Walter Willison and Joan Copeland. They’ll be joined by performers from theater, cabaret, and opera who have been inspired by Kahn, including Ann Harada of Avenue Q and Smash. Jeff Cubeta is music director.
