William Waldrop is a New York City-based music director, conductor, pianist, arranger and composer.  Most recently, William conducted the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra in Washington, D.C. for the final national touring engagement of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita.  William served as the Music Director/Conductor for the tour as well as the Associate Conductor for the Broadway production, starring Ricky Martin, Elena Roger and Michael Cerveris.  
 
William was the conductor and pianist for the first New York City revival of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Peccadillo Theatre Company) and has conducted or played in the pits of many other productions around the city including The Phantom of the Opera, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, On The Town, and Donnybrook!.
As a composer, William’s music has been heard in such NYC venues as Birdland, The Metropolitan Room, The Laurie Beechman Theatre and New World Stages.  His frequent lyricist and collaborator Robert Williamson comprises the other half of the songwriting team Waldrop and Williamson.  Their first musical Pandemic! A Killer Flu-sical premiered at the Las Vegas Fringe Festival in 2011.
 
William received a Masters of Music degree from The Peabody Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s of Music degree from the University of Mississippi.  A native of Pontotoc, Mississippi, William has called New York City his home since 2010.
