“TO DAD, WITH LOVE – A TRIBUTE TO BUDDY EBSEN”

KIKI EBSEN, daughter of legendary TV/Film/Theater star Buddy Ebsen will be appearing live in New York City on Thursday, October 8th at 9:30 PM at THE METROPOLITAN ROOM jazz club in a multimedia concert tribute to her dad.  The live show, entitled “TO DAD, WITH LOVE – A TRIBUTE TO BUDDY EBSEN”, will feature Kiki performing at the piano and singing with her jazz band including saxman David Mann, keyboardist Henry Hey and drummer Clint de Ganon.  Songs performed will include music  from her latest cd, “Scarecrow Sessions”, featuring standards from her father’s illustrious stage and screen career including  Kiki’s re-workings of  “Over The Rainbow”, “Laura”, “You Don’t Know What Love Is”, “Moon River” and “If I Only Had a Brain”.     In addition to Buddy Ebsen  having starred on TV for 9 years as patriarch Jed Clampett in “The Beverly Hillbillies” as well as TV detective “Barnaby Jones”, Ebsen was hired as the original scarecrow in the Judy Garland film “The Wizard Of Oz”, hence the cd’s title.

Kiki will also be showing videos and photos of her dad’s career and talk about special moments in Buddy’s life and career.  She will also be signing copies of her cd after the show.   Kiki has toured throughout the world as a backup keyboardist and vocalist and worked with recording artists including CHICAGO, Al Jarreau, Boz Scaggs, Dolly Parton, Christopher Cross, Melissa Etheridge, Gloria Estefan and Wilson Phillips.  She herself is a prolific songwriter and pianist/keyboardist.

Tickets for the concert can be purchased at www.metropolitanroom.com.   I have also attached a link to the show’s website.  The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 West 22nd Street in Manhattan.
