Paul and Rochelle at the Movies

In their newest show, the Chamlins present music from the bountiful trove of songs that have been featured in motion pictures. Films represented range from the sublime (Meet Me in St. Louis) to obscure (Agatha) with an eclectic selection from a wide range of composers and lyricists.

The show is directed by the legendary performer Marilyn Maye, and features Tom Hubbard on Bass.

Paul Chamlin has been an integral part of the NYC cabaret scene as a Musical Director/singer for many years. The couple met in 2005 while performing High Holiday services with the Kutsher’s Country Club Choir. Those unlikely beginnings sparked a romantic relationship that evolved into an inspired musical partnership. Their critically-acclaimed shows include Fine and Dandy: The Ladies of Tin Pan Alley, All at Sea, Gems by Jule, their tribute to Jule Styne, and most recently Life Is. The popular “Cabaret Couple” appear frequently in New York cabaret rooms and other venues throughout the metropolitan area and beyond. They’re delighted to return to the elegent Metropolitan Room. "Let’s Get Away from It All is a wonderfully entertaining revue with songs, funny stories and two fabulously talented people who happen to like and be married to each other.  They relate to one another with charm and grace, knowing and loving that they’ve got a good thing going."
– Lynda Sturner, NiteLifeExchange

"Thank you for a wonderful, life-affirming evening. What a joy!"
– Lorraine Serabian, actress, teacher, and star of the original Broadway product of Zorba

– Roy Sander, BistroAwards.com

“Two talented performers singing their hearts out and a bunch of good songs.  What more could you want?”
– Jan Wallman, NiteLifeExchange
