There's No Place Like Home

“There’s No Place Like Home” is sort of a sequel to Fred’s “Mann to Man” show. In “Mann to Man” he sang and spoke about marriage equality. In “There’s No Place Like Home”, he’ll sing and speak to everyone’s right to have, enjoy and keep their homes full of love, family and friends. This show will have a variety of songs including songs written by Stephen Sondheim, Cole Porter, Billy Joel, Jerry Herman, Alan Menken, George Gershwin, John Bucchino and others. The very talented Michael Ferreri will be the musical director and accompanist for this show.

Frederick Mann White has been an elementary educator for 31 years. His interest in theater and music began when he was 12 years old. He was in the Portsmouth Virginia Little Theater production of  “Oliver”. He was very active in the drama department in high school, winning best supporting actor his senior year at the end of the year Thespian banquet. His interest in performing in cabarets didn’t start until his 50th birthday when he performed a show just for family and friends at Odette’s in New Hope, PA.  He discovered that he thoroughly enjoyed weaving a story through song and patter. Since then he has performed two shows, “Hopes and Dreams” and “Mann to Man”, at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in New York City and at The RRAZZ Room in New Hope, PA. He recently performed a third show “I’m Sixty and I Can Still …” at The RRAZZ Room in New Hope, PA. He really looks forward to making his Metropolitan Room debut.
