Christopher Loudon of Jazz Times described Pamela and Houston as “An exalted partnership, meshing like the jeweled movement of a Patek Philippe and Pamela’s   voice as intoxicating.”

“Person works well with most singers (i.e. Etta Jones) but here he seems to feed off of the vocal lines Luss dishes out. They'reclearly having fun trading phrases on occasion...She’s refining her method with each recording, becoming a true professional interpreter of the tried-and-true American songbook.”  - All Music Guide , Michael Nastos
“She can tackle a sophisticated songbook, connecting well with the lyrics, understanding the intent of the song, and communicating her feelings. Her delivery is refined, her interpretation unaffected, giving each song the distinct touch it needs…It’s a mutual admiration society, Person’s soulful sax sound expounding on her lyrics and Luss delighting in his cheeky blues improvisations.. Pamela Luss continues to deliver her trademark of honesty, introspection and solid songs.”

- Cabaret Scenes, Elizabeth Ahlfors  (Live review from The Metropolitan Room)

“The world of female jazz/cabaret singers is a large one, particularly in New York City. So, to stand out is not an easy task…she (Pamela) makes standing out look easy and she accomplishes this by simply being her genuine self.”- Jazz Inside Magazine & of WHPC 90.3 FM , Michael Anthony  (Live review from The Metropolitan Room)

Blessed with a beautiful voice, remarkable timing, and sumptuous intonation, Pamela Luss’s singing has been vividly described by the celebrated actor and comic Jerry Stiller, “You’re in great company: Billie, Ella, and Helen Humes. They all had soul and so do you. Thank you for changing my universe when you sing.”

Pamela has enjoyed successful engagements - and drawn capacity crowds - in many of the top Jazz and Cabaret Clubs.  Pamela began working with Houston Person in 2007. His famously beautiful saxophone tone had graced two of hep revious three albums. The relationship continued and developed into her fourth album, Sweet and Saxy, which is a full-length collaboration between the younger singer and the veteran tenor saxophonist with Houston also as producer, celebrated with a CD release appearance at Jazz Standard in NYC.  The following year, Pamela released alive mini-album of two of the songs from that show, titled Bewitched (TV Theme Song) and Witchcraft, also produced by Houston and introduced by Pamela on Labor Day 2010 on national TV on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. This was Pamela’s second performance on the Telethon with Jerry Lewis, who has described Pamela as “A wonderful singer.”

Pamela will return to the Metropolitan Roomfor a third run of performances. Houston and Pamela appeared along with herall-star band last November of 2010 for three evenings. Some of this evening will soon appear on video on YouTube along with other videos of Pamela withHouston at other venues.
Pamela and Houston have continued to enjoy performing together throughout the year and will begin Pamela’s monthly, Saturday Series together as – Just TheTwo Of Us and Friends- beginning in January, 2012 with the first show, All about Love.
