Angeli Kakade makes her debut at the Metropolitan Room on February 23 at 9:30pm performing music from her first album “Breathe It in,” as well as new and never before heard songs.
“Angeli's angelic voice is long remembered after her songs have faded. Her melodic tones and snappy and sensual tunes are a refreshing departure from other artists trying to succeed in the pop arena...”
- Skeery Jones, Executive Producer, Z100/Y100's Elvis Duran & The Morning Zoo
“The album is an eclectic combination of Pop, Neo-soul, and Singer/songwriter styles. 'A Shallow Heart,' 'Breathe It In,' 'Love From LA' and 'The Fool' are some of our favorite songs.”
- The Examiner Online
Angeli Kakade is one prolific songwriter and solo artist. She has been gathering fans all over the world and her popularity continues to grow. Angeli hails from Minneapolis, MN where she spent her formative years
singing and performing for just about every opportunity that came her way. Her first single “All I Want” was released in 2009 and produced by Chris Young (whose credits include Ashlee Simpson, George Clinton, and the Real Housewives of NYC’s Countess Luann). “Fantasy” was her follow up single and the first release under Australian label Savvy Muzik. Fused with American pop beats and Indian instruments, the track is sexy and global. Co-produced by famed Indian musician Milind Date, the track was also placed in the film “Goodbye Baby” from Gigantic Productions. Angeli is signed to Pump Audio and Playtunes Music for the licensing of music in commercials and film.
Angeli’s debut full-length release “Breathe It in,” is very much a tribute to her personal life. “Making mistakes with love, trust, friends, – I always figure, if I’m going through something, chances are someone else
out there is too,” Says Angeli. The album is an eclectic combination of Pop, Neo-soul, and Singer/songwriter styles; and can be found on all leading digital retailers worldwide.
With a non-stop abundance of energy Angeli has the “it” factor, which is always portrayed through her performances. The voice of the new music industry, Angeli combines her powerful vocals with heart-felt lyrics
creating feminine, charming, and honest music.
Matthew London, a pianist, music producer and educator from the islands of Trinidad and Tobago, will bring to the stage a vibrant element of flavor that will make his audience stand and dance. He has most recently worked with Tryphena Wade of the Lion King Tour. Angeli will also be joined by drummer Alex Cohen who has recorded with Will Lee, Al Pitrelli, Mark O'Connor, George Porter Jr., and appeared alongside such drummers as Mike Mangini, Dave Mattacks, Gary Chafee, and Jonathan Mover in Drumhead
Magazine. Doug Berns will play the bass and Galia Barkol will be on backing vocals.
