“To paraphrase Sammy Cahn, Luss is lovelier the second time around" (Christopher Loudon – JazzTimes). Ms. Luss sang “lustrously on the ballads” (Ira Gitler- Jazz Inside). Luss has a silky, slightly smoky quality to her luscious voice." (Danielle Miceli – NiteLife Exchange). "The lust Luss is able to conjure is hard to resist as she stands lean and tall among these well-known songs" (Michael Nastos- All Music Guide).
As William Shakespeare once said, “What’s in a name?” A "Musical party time" by Elizabeth Ahlfors - Cabaret Scenes (from previous shows at the Metropolitan Room), and from Danielle Miceli ofNiteLife Exchange describing Pamela's third show from a recent run at the Metropolitan Club, “Luss is a consummate performer, as is her sidekick and mentor, Houston Person, making this show not to be missed.”

Pamela Luss is returning home to the Metropolitan Room for her fourth run, and again, with the legendary Mr. Houston Person on tenor Saxophone. Pamela and Houston, will perform Just the Two of Us and Friendswith an emphasis on the heart of love and home.

“You’re in great company: Billie, Ella, and Helen Humes. They all had soul and so do you. Thank you for changing my universe when you sing.” (Jerry Stiller)

Pamela has enjoyed successful engagements - and drawn capacity crowds - in many of the top Jazz and Cabaret Clubs.  Pamela began working with Houston Person in 2007. His famously beautiful saxophone tone has graced three of Pamela's four albums. Her most recent album, Sweet and Saxy, is a full-length collaboration between the younger singer and the veteran tenor saxophonist with Houston also as producer.  The following year, Pamela released a live two song mini-album, titled Bewitched (TV Theme Song), also produced by Houston and introduced by Pamela on national TV on the last Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon. This was Pamela’s second performance on the Telethon with Jerry Lewis, who has described Pamela as “A wonderful singer.”
