when The Group Theatre Too’s Broadway Performance Project presents an evening of songs performed by some of Broadway’s brightest stars. The event will be a fundraiser for Broadway Performance Project's 2013 season and will include several alumni from this past year's program. The night will also unveil The Nicole Fosse Scholarship, an initiative to allow more participation in the Broadway Performance Project. Come celebrate musical theatre and contribute to a worthy educational program designed to develop our next generation of musical theatre veterans.
THE GROUP THEATRE TOO was founded in 2003 by Artistic Director, Michael Blevins and Executive Producer, Justin Boccitto. BPP is dedicated to discovering and nurturing new talent through in depth one-on-one performance coaching, interfacing with top industry professionals who offer their assessments and recommendations, and culminating with a two-evening performance schedule at one of New York's premier cabaret clubs. JUSTIN BOCCITTO For the past 10 years Justin's work has been seen across the country on Television, National Tours, Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, The Metropolitan Opera, The New York Musical Theatre & Fringe Festivals and Circle in the Square. In 2012 he choreographed the Off-Broadway solo musical One Night With Fanny Brice
at the St. Luke’s Theater and also received a Kennedy Center award for his direction of Hairspray
in Nashville. Recently he was seen on MTV’s MADE coaching star Rita Torres. He has worked closely with such artists as Nicole Fosse, Michael Blevins, Theodore Mann, David Rimmer and and is on the faculty at Broadway Dance Center. Justin has also taught at Steps on Broadway, Peridance, The Juilliard School, trained Lady Gaga at Circle in the Square and was asked to teach Stephen Colbert how to tap dance. He serves as Executive Producer to The Group Theatre Too in Manhattan with an impressive Board of Advisors including John Kander and Chita Rivera to name a few.
