The woman that Cabaret Scenes called “an accomplished actress and engaging singer”, Alix Paige returns to the Metropolitan Room with an homage to the greatest female vocalists of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s. Always feeling like she belonged back in the days of those fabulous jazz legends, Paige explores the timeless jazz classics that were sung by the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dinah Washington, just to name a few. Like her previous Met Room show “A Paige on Men”, the Bennett Paster Trio will be joining Alix again and together they will bring you back to a time when Jazz legends were born and the American Songbook was made.
Alix Paige is honored to be back at the Metropolitan Room after a very successful run of “A Paige on Men: Songs of Love, Lust, and Loss”. She is both an accomplished singer and Musical Theatre performer, most recently returning from playing Aldonza in “Man of La Mancha” opposite Broadway Legend Terrence Mann at Connecticut Repertory Theatre. Other credits include “My Fair Lady” (Eliza), the National Tours of “Irving Berlin’s ‘I Love a Piano’” (Ginger) and “Cabaret” (Sally Bowles u/s), and in New York, the Secret Theatre’s “Parade” (Lucille). She is a proud member of the USO Liberty Belles, performing internationally for veterans and active-duty military, and she continues her work in theatre, film, voice-over, and modeling in New York City, where she resides with her wonderful boyfriend Dodd and their rescue Shih-Tzu Maybel.
