Tin Pan Alley Time Tour is a whistlestop tour through more than four decades of popular song, from the ’teens through the 50s. It captures the range of popular song in the first half of the century through a dazzling array of styles, from raggy blues and novelty numbers to Latin, sweet and swing standards, and rhythm and blues. Vocalist Marion Markham, whose versatility ranges from chatty patter to heartfelt ballads, leads the tour with a variety of characters while pianist Michael Campbell brings George Gershwin, Art Tatum and other piano stars of the era to life through meticulous re-creations of their recorded performances.
Marion Markham has been seen in Equity theatres throughout the northeast and Europe. She has performed Leading Ladies from Shakespeare to Sondheim including Off Broadway, film and television. Teaming up with Michael Campbell in 2009, she has performed over 25 shows in New York City, Florida and Rhode Island. Visit www.marionmarkham.com to see more about Marion.
