“Yesterday Once More” is Nicole Kafka’s third solo cabaret show. It comprises songs from the 1960s and early 1970s, which are deep in her bones from childhood, along with amusing stories of those childhood years in Manhattan. The show is filled with infectious joy. You’ll leave smiling – and you may find yourself singing the songs for days.

For many years, Nicole Kafka was a colorectal surgeon. In late spring, 2011, she closed her practice to focus on the singing she had begun several years earlier. Originally trained as a classical singer, her current repertory extends from opera to pop and country, including cabaret, show tunes and jazz. Nicole has sung in venues as disparate as bars, clubs, Harvard University and Carnegie Hall, in choruses, bands, and as a solo artist. She is a member of the Magic Circle Opera Repertory Ensemble. Nicole has created and performed two previous cabaret shows, “Deliciously Twisted,” which was recorded as a well-received live CD (available through CDBaby and Amazon) and “Vamps, Vixens and Villains.” More recently, Nicole has added an acting career. She has recently been seen on the New York stage, starring as Nicola in “We Need to Talk” and Dr. Adler in “Social Anxiety,” and on television as Deborah in “Stalked: Someone’s Watching (The Girl Next Door).” She studies singing with Ray Evans Harrell and acting with William Esper and Scott Freeman. She holds a BA cum laude from Harvard University and an MD from Cornell University.
