The Quentin Angus Quintet has been delighting audiences around the world in Belgium, Turkey, Holland, Romania, Australia and the USA, at festivals and events such as; Jazz Hoeilaart (Belgium), EUROPAfest, the Bucharest International Jazz Festival and the Adelaide International Guitar Festival (Australia). Come and see them at their home base in NYC, one day before heading back into the studio to record their next album 'Perception' (Origin Records).  
About Qentin:
At only 25 years old, Quentin Angus is "already building an international reputation with his brilliant compositional work that  is both personal and adventurous" (APRA Art Music Awards 2012).
Quentin has received much international and national recognition, including; three 'International Downbeat Magazine Student Music Awards' in the categories of 'Jazz Soloist' (2012), and 'Jazz Composition' (2011/ 2012), an'ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award' (2012), was one of 20 musicians from around the globe selected for the 2011 'Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency' , and was the inaugural winner of the 'Award for Excellence in Jazz' at the '2012 APRA Art Music Awards'.
Quentin recorded his debut, critically acclaimed album 'Retrieval Structure' in August 2011. The CD has been  a 'featured album' on ABC Jazz Radio, a'Download of the Day' on, while also receiving regular airplay in Europe, the USA and Australia. The album has been described as;

Quentin has toured internationally as a band leader, including performances in Belgium, Holland, Romania, Turkey, Australia, Japan, USA, and New Zealand. Festival appearances have been made at the Jazz Hoeilaart Festival(2011), Bucharest International Jazz Festival (2012), EUROPAfest (2012), Adelaide International Guitar Festival (2009), Mt Barker Jazz Festival (2010), Adelaide FRINGE (08,09,10), and notable venues including; The Kennedy Centre (USA), Cornelia Street Cafe, Smoke, Smalls (New York), and the Nardis Jazz Club (Turkey). This has included performing/ recording with artists such as; Kevin Hays, Jon Gordon, Gilad Hekselman,  John Abercrombie, Bob Mintzer, Colin Stranahan, Linda Oh, Rogerio Boccato, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Sam Anning and James Morrison.
Quentin is the author of three transcription books of Gilad Hekselman's Improvisations from all of his albums; 'Split-Life', 'Words Unspoken' and 'Hearts Wide Open',  has been published in the NZMiC music journal, and has presented research papers on his transcriptions of Hekselman and John Abercrombie at music conferences in New Zealand and Australia.
Quentin holds a Masters Degree (Summa Cum Laude) from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music (NY), graduated with 'First Class Honours' from the University of Adelaide, was named; ‘Most Outstanding Jazz Guitar Undergraduate’ (2006), ‘Most Outstanding Postgraduate Music Student’(2009), and received the 2010 'Keith Michell Performance Award', from the Helpmann Academy. Through his studies Angus has had the opportunity to work with an impressive list of jazz greats, including; Mike Moreno, Curtis Fuller, Scott Colley, Hal Galper, Pat Martino, Jonathan Kreisberg and Adam Rodgers.
