Baby Jane Dexter celebrates the holiday season with her eagerly awaited new show, “All About Love,” with songs by songwriters as diverse as Bob Dylan, Duke Ellington, Carol King, Stephen Sondheim, Lennon & McCartney and many more. In this exciting new show, she will share her trademark intimate, uplifting and insightful visions of life and love through evergreens from the worlds of pop, jazz, R & B and the great American songbook. Since her return to performing in 1990 (after a hiatus,) Ms. Dexter has become one of cabaret's most dynamic, cutting edge, powerful and beloved artists on the music scene today. Along the way, she has amassed endless new fans who flock to her every show. This new show will have even more surprises and explore new horizons - with a twist. For this exclusive Manhattan engagement, Ms. Dexter will be joined by her acclaimed musical director and arranger Ross Patterson. Elissa Patterson serves as consultant/director. Writing in The New York Times, Stephen Holden said, “The phrase “keeping it real” and all it suggests certainly applies to Baby Jane Dexter, a longtime cabaret performer whose booming pop contralto is one of the more formidable voices on the New York nightclub stage.” And in JAZZ TIMES, Christopher Loudon said: “…her brand of entertainment is arguably the most compellingly, refreshingly honest there is.” This is another Baby Jane show not to be missed!
