Voted #1 Jazz Cabaret Club by New York Magazine, The Metropolitan Room is one of the most critically acclaimed venues in NYC and is known as the "Home" for big name talents and rising stars.  The Metropolitan Room is located in the heart of Manhattan in the Flatiron/Chelsea District. A high-end cabaret and jazz club, the Metropolitan Room brings the best in live music to New York City. Every night of the week, at 7pm, 9:30pm and 11:30pm.  Fabulous award-winning Broadway, TV, Film and Radio performers take the stage in an intimate 115-seat atmosphere reminiscent of the golden age of cabaret.  Our renowned Chelsea club and performance space provides an intimate for a range of entertainments as diverse as New York itself. From spectacles like “The Sophisticates: Strip as it was Meant to be Teased” to performances by drag comedienne Hedda Lettuce, side-splitting comedy acts and moving cabaret sets by top Broadway stars, the 115-seat room provides the perfect setting for audience-pleasing shows, night after night.

While enjoying the performers, guests enjoy nibbles like cheese and antipasti plates and a menu of delicious desserts, like cheesecake and dark-chocolate mousse. There are also a number of coffee drinks to keep the crowd fueled, not to mention cocktails like the Seasonal Pumpkin Pie, made with vanilla vodka, pumpkin-spice liqueur and Coole Swan cream liqueur. 
 
Along with a full slate of performances, the Metropolitan Room is a prime space for private parties and special events.  Whether you’re visiting to catch your favorite artist, or want to partake in the craft yourself, you’ll find the entertainment you’re after at this special venue.
The Metropolitan Room offers additional programming that appeal to the local and tourist markets, and includes late-night jazz spots and Classic Burlesque Variety Show almost every night of the week.

"My girlfriends and I attended your Comedy night on Saturday June 23. It is hard to please 6 women but we had a fantastic time. The food was great, not at all expected. We are from Canada and Yuk Yuks food is terrible, so the girls were leery about ordering anything but we LOVED it! The red velvet cake was to die for. The comedians were spot on. And we really enjoyed the variety and the number that we saw. It was like a "tapas" of comedy, wonderful. Service was quick and everyone was so pleasant. Our server kept the drinks flowing and I think that must be hard in a comedy atmosphere. I had called ahead to make sure everything would be perfect and spoke with Joseph, who was just great. I was worried because I was planning this event for the group. He was very informative and helpful, gave me his email! When we got to the door he welcomed me like I was an old friend. Wow!
