Description: Mark Cotter is originally from Connecticut and now divides his time between New York City and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
For an unprecedented 14 consecutive seasons, Mark was the premier cabaret artist on The Mississippi Queen in New Orleans. It was there that he met the legendary singer Margaret Whiting. This association led to Mark being one of thirty artists selected to participate in the prestigious Cabaret Symposium at The Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center of which he is a proud graduate.
In New York City, Mark has sung on Broadway at the famed Town Hall as well as The Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and many other smaller venues. Mark has performed his Cabaret show with great success on Cabaret stages across the country and abroad. His debut at The Metropolitan Room marks his first New York engagement in 17 years and is thrilled to be back home.
Mark also has an extensive background as a leading actor in musical theatre but, found his true passion on the cabaret stage. He says, “This is where I’m most at home. I love the intimacy and the connection that takes place between me and the audience. There is nothing quite as special as a night of Cabaret."
Mark will be accompanied on the piano by his musical director, Christian Duhamel.
