Description: Multi-award winning singer Jennifer Sheehan and her trio traverse the vast spectrum of music that was the sensational soundtrack of the ‘60s-- featuring the best of Bacharach, the Beatles, Bossa Nova, Barbra, Bebop and Broadway. And that’s just the B’s!

I KNOW A PLACE reminds some of us and reveals to others why The ‘60s is still where it’s at-- a very hip and happenin’ place to visit, even if only for one night!

Of “the rising cabaret star” and her “effervescent new show,” Stephen Holden of The New York Times writes: “The beauty of Ms. Sheehan’s voice is refreshingly unvarnished and devoid of circus tricks. Drawing from a deep well of feeling, she interprets lyrics from the point of view of someone who knows who she is and conveys empathy in a voice that glows with insight.”

Jennifer Sheehan has become one of the most sought after new voices in the concert and cabaret world. Ms. Sheehan recently made her critically-acclaimed debut at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency with a two-week run of her new show, “I Know a Place-- Spend a Night in the Sensational ‘60s.” She previously headlined a sold-out run of her critically-acclaimed show at the Metropolitan Room in New York, “You Made Me Love You— Celebrating 100 Years of the Great American Songbook.” The show was described by Stephen Holden of The New York Times as “smart and far-reaching.” And of Ms. Sheehan, he said, “Young, good-looking and very astute, Ms. Sheehan
gives you hope.”

Ms. Sheehan has performed for audiences all across the country and in the U.K., in some of the country’s most legendary concert halls, cabaret rooms and private clubs. She made her Carnegie Hall debut performing as a special guest of Michael Feinstein and she made her Guild Hall debut in the Hamptons, performing in concert with Eric Michael Gillett and Alex Rybeck. She was slated to make her debut at the fabled Oak Room at The Algonquin Hotel in early 2012, just as the Hotel announced it would shutter the Oak Room.

This past fall, she was named the first-ever recipient of the Johnny Mercer Foundation's Margaret Whiting Award and of the Dorothy Loudon Foundation's Dorothy Loudon Award. The year previous, she won the first-ever Noël Coward Foundation Competition Award. Previously, she was honored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation with the Julie Wilson Award for outstanding interpretation of the Great
American Songbook and she was the first-place winner in the National Glenn Miller Vocal Competition.

Ms. Sheehan performs in concert and in the theater. She has performed as one of six vocalists in Radio City Music Hall’s “Christmas Spectacular.” She also has appeared in shows at the 92nd Street Y, the York Theater, the Bard Summerscape Festival, Boston Musical Theater and on national tours.
