Description: Julia Klot turned 12 this past July. She lives in Brooklyn, NY with her parents and 6 year old brother Max. She is an honor student entering 7th grade at a NYC middle school.
Julia began taking piano lessons when she was 6 years old. At about the time she turned 10, she began composing her own songs. She released her first three song album, "Introducing Julia Klot," July 2012. This album includes the first song she ever wrote, "Shine" and "Not Getting Anywhere," a song about self-doubt. Excited about moving on to middle school and treasuring her time and relationships there, Julia wrote "Goodbye," which is also included on this album. She performed this song at her 5th grade elementary school graduation, giving a moving performance. On these songs, Julia sings lead and backing vocals and plays the electric piano and synthesizers. Julia has composed approximately 30 original songs!
