Description: Critically acclaimed Vocalist and popular song stylist Jerry Costanzo returns to the Metropolitan Room to announce his exciting new CD release "Invitation". Mr. Costanzo has assembled a quartet of New York's finest musicians, including Pianist/arranger Tedd Firth, Guitarist Joe Cohn, Bassist Neal Miner and Drummer Johathan Mele, to accompany him on this latest project. These fine musicians have lent their exceptional musical talents on Mr. Costanzo's previously successful releases, "Destination Moon" and "Can't We Be Friends?", creating a marvelous collaboration that continues to delight Mr. Costanzo's audiences. "Invitation" features 14 songs including the title track, as well as a new single  "The Loney One/Nature Boy", a medley of two Nat King Cole classic tunes, to be released in advance of the full album. Mr. Costanzo’s seven-piece orchestra backed him beautifully on swinging numbers such as East of the Sun and West of the Moon, You’re Driving Me Crazy and Mean to Me. Mr. Costanzo was equally adept at performing ballads, as he displayed with his vocals on  Stairway to the Stars, Penthouse Serenade and his closing number We’ll Be Together Again.  The band and arrangements made the evening extra special.  I was grateful to be there to see the ensemble..
