Gia Mora is EINSTEIN'S GIRL

Gia Mora unleashes her signature blend of intellectual prowess and animal instinct on an unlikely pair of human languages–-love and theoretical physics. This uniquely 21st century show combines old school cabaret, stand-up comedy, and cutting edge physics to explore what Miz Mora likes to call the “science of love... theoretically speaking.”

Using science as a metaphor for life in the digital world, Miz Mora mixes beloved jazz standards with original songs and stories for a hilariously irreverent and deeply sentimental look at romance in technological age.

About Gia:

Smart, sexy, sassy Gia Mora is an accomplished actor, a vocal dynamo with a four-octave range, and a writer with an astute sense of humor and pathos. She brings her unique blend of beauty and brains to her work on camera and on stage, and now as the newest artist signed to Modern Songbook Records.

Known for both her original storytelling and compositions as well as her interpretation of standards, her solo shows have played to sold-out audiences on both coasts, and she has headlined at Don’t Tell Mama, The Gardenia, Bethesda Blues & Jazz, Blues Alley, An Die Musik, and Lannie's Clocktower Cabaret, among others. A third generation jazz musician, Miz Mora also frequently appears with her father, guitarist Rick Chinisci. He will be featured on Miz Mora’s debut CD on Modern Songbook Records. Charlie Barnett will produce.

For her work on stage, Miz Mora has received four Helen Hayes nominations appearing at theatres including Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth, Kennedy Center, Ford’s Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Arvada Center.

Miz Mora graduated summa cum laude and with honors in Screenwriting/Playwriting from the University of Colorado and in 2009 received a diploma in Italian Language and Culture from the University of Pisa. When she’s not working, Miz Mora loves playing crosswords, blogging about politics, and snuggling her two adopted kitties, Spanky and Haas. Visit www.GiaMora.com for more information.

"Mora is both a gifted singer and raconteuse. The show could easily have been a stand-up set. But, luckily, it wasn’t, as her song interpretations are as fascinating and individual as her take on modern life." -Cabaret Scenes Magazine
