Alex Leonard presents a musical tribute to the great jazz pianist John Bunch, "The Fred Astaire of the piano."

A uniquely talented and gifted jazz pianist, music critic and writer George Simon called John Bunch, “The Fred Astaire of the piano”. This performance celebrates the life and career of John Bunch from his days growing up in the small farming community of Tipton Indiana, his heroic service during World War II to his days of accompanying a who's who list of artists including Tony Bennett and Benny Goodman.

All music guide calls pianist/vocalist Alex Leonard, "an important mainstay of the Big Apple" and Show Business writes, "superb piano playing... a class act". Featured in recent 25th Annual Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center he has been appeared in venues from Manhattan to Europe and Japan. A two time MAC Award nominee, he has performed in the Cabaret Series at the National Arts Club hosted by Donald Smith. He has been a featured guest on many programs including Bloomberg Radio's The Business of Show Business. Anticipated to join Alex in the performance will be extraordinary jazz musicians guitarist Al Gafa and John Bunch's friend and musical partner bassist Jay Leonhart.
