Melinda Hughes “Cheers Darling”
The sell out British satirist Melinda Hughes is back! Melinda’s brilliantly crafted songs about the special relationship between the UK and the US; the declining British Aristocracy, selfies, Brexit, Donald Trump and its comparisons with Weimar Berlin will make this a hilarious and unforgettable evening.
Classically trained Melinda Hughes is a Weimar Cabaret specialist and a successful Satirical cabaret performer with sell out shows at The Pheasantry and Crazy Coqs Zedel London . She has written and performed with co-writer Jeremy Limb at numerous International Festivals. Her CD Smoke and Noise (Nimbus) won critical acclaim in The US and UK leading her to appear on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4 with Barry Humphries. A graduate of The Royal College of Music, Melinda toured Europe for three years as the soloist to the famous violinist Andre Rieu. She has sung many lead operatic roles including Aida, Tosca and Madame Butterfly working in more than forty countries and will be appearing on BBC Television series about Weimar Cabaret in summer 2017.
If they were playing anywhere near me, I would run, not walk to see them.

Hughes could sing the phone book, she's that good and the material is just as cool a find. Performance art at it’s populist best.
