From London's legendary Pizza on the Park and now a regular artist at the Pheasantry in London's Chelsea neighborhood, British jazz pianist and cabaret singer Michael Omer makes his U.S. performance debut at the Metropolitan Room. He does so in a unique show with something for just about everyone  -- original songs, new jazz gems, a sprinkling of standards, a clever and totally improvised "Instant Musical" show ending, and selections taken from his remarkable album, intriguingly titled 'Unwritten, Unplugged & Unsigned'-- all this plus  a dash of very special British humor!

His performances at leading London cabaret venues have been well-received and well-reviewed.  BBC Television News has said that Michael is "a dynamic musical force".  The London Daily Telegraph noted that Michael is "a talented musician...perfectly timed and witty".

Michael Omer is an award-winning composer  -  including a SILVER at the New York Film & Television Festival  -   who graduated from London’s Guildhall School of Music & Drama, & whose film & television scores include the Oscar Nominated It’s Good to Talk, produced by Barney Reisz.  The BBCTV BAFTA nominated drama The Prince and the Pauper, along with another costume drama, Little Lord Fauntleroy, which garnered an International EMMY, were both collaborations with writer/producer Julian Fellowes (Oscar: Best Screenplay, Gosford Park/International EMMY Winner for Downton Abbey.)

Michael is very much looking forward to performing before New York cabaret audiences.
